Screen/Voice Actor Erik Anderson Joins #ATXCAN as Art Auctioneer
Ad 2 Austin is thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the very talented Erik Anderson for our inaugural event, Austin Canvas Auction Night, on Thursday, November 20th from 6-9pm at The Rattle Inn. #ATXCAN is charity art auction with proceeds benefiting a full scale marketing and advertising campaign by AD2ATX's Public Service Committee at no cost to our non-profit client, Minis & Friends.
From the moment we heard his voice reels, we had to have him for this event!
About Erik Anderson
Saturday morning cartoons, a mother’s need to see her son imitate Pee-Wee Herman, a father’s theater genetics, and Hank Hill. These are the four elements responsible for providing the performance bug for screen/voice actor Erik Anderson.
In the summer of 2001, Anderson was cast as a lead in the independent film, “Jobbers”, written and directed by his good friend and colleague, Michael Charron. This marked the debut for both filmmakers, and since launching into the industry, Anderson, Charron, and their film crew, have kept busy and completed over a dozen short films, as well as three feature length productions: sports comedy, “High Five” (2003), “Untitled Horror Comedy” (2009), which premiered at the Texas Frightmare Festival in Dallas, and a coming of age comedy, “The Big Picture” (2010).
It wasn’t until 2007 that, at the behest of his friends and family, Anderson would acquire representation with his first agency. He has since provided narration and character voices for numerous commercials, e-learning courses, and interactive multimedia for Enspire Learning, the Austin Humane Society, FAFSA, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Voyant, and various short films produced in the Austin area. Anderson is also known as a remarkable impressionist, having provided cartoon and celebrity impersonations which have been featured on Mix 94.7s morning show, Booker, Alex, and Sara and 100.7 The Wolf’s Fitz in the Morning, located in Seattle.
Other than on screen performances and voice narration/characterization, Anderson has worked as a location scout for numerous productions and is also an accomplished foley artist. Recently, he and his crew completed a short film entitled, “Casual Encounters”, where he starred, provided foley, and additional voice work. They are currently submitting the production on the festival circuit.
